I think one of the most powerful things we can do is share our lab results. The weight loss gets all the attention, but these medications are metabolic game-changers and the bloodwork tells that story.
Here are mine. 48M, semaglutide 2.4mg, 11 months, 67 lbs lost (289→222).
| Marker | Before | After 11mo | Reference Range |
|--------|--------|-----------|----------------|
| A1C | 7.1% | 5.4% | <5.7% |
| Fasting glucose | 142 | 91 | 70-100 |
| Fasting insulin | 28.4 | 8.2 | 2.6-24.9 |
| Triglycerides | 298 | 124 | <150 |
| HDL | 31 | 48 | >40 |
| LDL | 168 | 121 | <100 |
| Total cholesterol | 248 | 194 | <200 |
| CRP (hs) | 6.2 | 1.4 | <3.0 |
| ALT | 64 | 22 | 7-56 |
| AST | 48 | 19 | 10-40 |
| GGT | 78 | 32 | 0-65 |
| Uric acid | 8.9 | 6.1 | 2.4-8.2 |
| Vitamin D | 18 | 42 | 30-100 |
My doctor took me off metformin AND my statin. Reversed my Type 2 diabetes diagnosis. My liver enzymes went from borderline concerning to textbook normal.
Post yours below — let's build a real database of what these meds do beyond the scale.

RN here. LipidDoc_ATL, your results are genuinely remarkable but I want to highlight a few things for context:
1. Your A1C going from 7.1 to 5.4 means you went from diabetic to NORMAL. Not pre-diabetic — normal. That's the kind of result that used to only happen with bariatric surgery.
2. Triglycerides dropping from 298 to 124 is a 58% reduction. For context, statins typically reduce triglycerides by 10-30%. You more than doubled that.
3. Your liver enzymes normalizing suggests you likely had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) that has resolved or significantly improved.
4. Vitamin D going up — did you supplement, or is this from improved absorption/metabolism?

Great eye. Yes, I started supplementing Vitamin D (5,000 IU daily) after the first labs showed 18. So that improvement is partly medication/weight loss and partly supplementation. Should have noted that.
And you're right about the NAFLD — my doctor had flagged it at my initial visit based on the liver enzymes and an ultrasound showing fatty infiltration. The follow-up ultrasound at month 9 showed significant improvement. He used the word "remarkable."
The diabetes reversal is the one that makes me emotional. My father died from diabetic complications at 61. I was on the same path. Now I'm not.

Adding mine. 52F, tirzepatide 15mg, 9 months, 54 lbs lost (246→192).
| Marker | Before | After 9mo |
|--------|--------|----------|
| A1C | 8.4% | 5.8% |
| Fasting glucose | 186 | 104 |
| Fasting insulin | 34.2 | 11.8 |
| Triglycerides | 312 | 138 |
| HDL | 36 | 51 |
| LDL | 142 | 108 |
| CRP | 8.1 | 2.3 |
| ALT | 42 | 28 |
| BP (not lab but) | 158/96 | 128/78 |
Was on: Metformin 2000mg, glipizide 10mg, lisinopril 20mg, atorvastatin 40mg
Now on: Metformin 500mg (tapering off), lisinopril 10mg
Dropped 2 medications entirely and halved the other 2. My pharmacy bill went from $340/month to $85/month. The financial impact alone is life-changing.

Here's mine with a focus on cardiovascular markers. 55M, semaglutide 2.4mg, 14 months, 71 lbs lost (302→231).
| Marker | Before | After 14mo |
|--------|--------|-----------|
| Total cholesterol | 262 | 188 |
| LDL-P (particle count) | 1,842 | 1,104 |
| Small dense LDL | 48% | 22% |
| Lp(a) | 42 | 38 |
| ApoB | 148 | 96 |
| HDL | 33 | 54 |
| Triglycerides | 268 | 98 |
| CRP | 5.4 | 0.9 |
| Homocysteine | 14.2 | 9.8 |
| Coronary calcium score | 82 | (next scan at 18mo) |
I paid out of pocket for the advanced lipid panel and it was worth every penny. My cardiologist said the shift from small dense LDL to large buoyant LDL pattern alone significantly reduces my cardiovascular event risk. The ApoB improvement means fewer atherogenic particles regardless of total LDL.
Note: Lp(a) barely budged — that's expected as it's mostly genetic and not significantly influenced by weight loss or lifestyle.
