Triglycerides dropped by half, HDL barely moved, and my calculated LDL is almost exactly where it started, which is not the outcome I had been promised.
What I am after is whether an unchanged LDL-C alongside a large triglyceride fall is a good result or a bad one, because ApoB and LDL-C seem to be telling different stories.
Happy to be told the question itself is wrong.

Before/after bloodwork compilation for the lipid panel — everything in one place for those who want comprehensive data:
| Category | Marker | Before | After 8mo | Change |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Metabolic | A1C | 7.0% | 5.4% | ⬇️ 1.2% |
| Metabolic | Fasting Glucose | 115 | 85 | ⬇️ 35 |
| Lipids | LDL | 158 | 102 | ⬇️ 40 |
| Lipids | Triglycerides | 260 | 105 | ⬇️ 90 |
| Inflammation | hsCRP | 5.5 | 0.8 | ⬇️ 5.0 |
Every single metabolic marker improved. This is why I'm a believer in this therapy.

Advanced lipoprotein testing on the lipid panel — going beyond standard lipid panel:
| Marker | Baseline | Month 8 | Clinical Meaning |
|---|---|---|---|
| LDL-P | 1678 | 978 | Particle count (more precise than LDL-C) |
| Small dense LDL | 68% | 34% | Atherogenic pattern |
| Remnant cholesterol | 42 | 17 | Triglyceride-rich lipoproteins |
| oxLDL | 83 | 46 | Oxidative stress marker |
The shift from small dense to large buoyant LDL is particularly important — it represents a fundamental change in the atherogenic profile.

Adding a me-too, because a thread of one person's experience is not much use. Nothing to add that would improve it.

Comprehensive lipid panel update relevant to the lipid panel:
| Marker | Baseline | 6 Months | 12 Months | Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Total Cholesterol | 247 | 202 | 192 | <200 |
| LDL | 152 | 132 | 112 | <100 |
| HDL | 45 | 46 | 59 | >40 |
| Triglycerides | 267 | 162 | 102 | <150 |
| LDL-P | 1667 | 1117 | 917 | <1000 |
The triglyceride drop is the most impressive. My cardiologist reduced my statin dose based on these results.
